Along the Banks introduces its Explorer Day Camp for Kids! A fun, interactive, and educational outdoor experience for the kids of the “Nature Coast”.
Our goal is to get kids out of the house and active in our local environment so they can develop a great appreciation for the area we live in.
This is a WEEKLY day camp and will be Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm starting on the 6th of June and going on each week of the month.
Each kid will receive their own personal pack full of gear we selected specifically for the activities we will be doing throughout the week. These packs WILL go home with the kids at the end of the camp!

Each day will be filled with activities specific to the areas we will be in. Activities will include proper hiking instruction, plant and animal identification, wildlife spotting, a trip to the Homosassa springs state wildlife park so the kids can see all the wildlife that lives in our beautiful state and a beginner level fishing course.

2. Hog Pond trail located in the Withlacoochee State Forest
3. Blue trail, trail head in the Withlacoochee State Forest
4. Homosassa Springs state Wildlife Park
5. Bluebird Springs
Every location is within 10 minutes from the other

Basic Food and water will be provided for the kids although we also encourage them to be sent with a lunch.
Our target age groups are 8-12 and 13-18 although we can accommodate special cases. (Siblings, children close to 8 Etc.)

Our Camp instructors are First aid and CPR certified and have plenty of experience in instructing kids and most importantly keeping them safe!
Cost of the camp is $207 a week and $145 for the following weeks if additional weeks want to be purchased.
The funds cover the cost of the camp, the pack, admission into the wildlife park as well as provided food and water.
There is a $75 dollar deposit to hold the Childs position refundable up to 4 days BEFORE the start of the camp. FULL PAYMENT is by the start of the camp.
