Parks and Recreation for the 2023 Parks Nature Challenge

Join Parks and Recreation for the 2023 Parks Nature Challenge from April 28 through May 1st. 

Parks Nature Challenge is a citizen science project for the community to participate in an outdoor activity while learning about Florida's plants and animals. 

How to participate:

  1. Download the iNaturalist App
  2. Become a Member
  3. Join the Citrus County Parks Nature Challenge 
  4. Attend as many locations listed on the project from April 28 through May 1
  5. Start taking photos and uploading your observations!

 

Parks and Nature Challenge Locations: 10am to 11am

Friday, April 28 at Citronelle Park 7826 W. Dunkin Road, Dunnellon, FL 

Saturday, April 29 at Bluebird Springs 8750 West Bluebird Springs Lane, Homosassa, FL

Sunday, April 30 at Floral Park 9530 South Parkside Ave, Floral City, FL 

Monday, April 1 at Fort Island Gulf Beach 16000 W. Fort Island Trail Crystal River, FL
