Citrus County Parks and Recreation Fall Activities

Daytime activities for Homeschool and Preschool

Citrus County Parks and Recreation is gearing up for their fall activities. Among those are activities for Homeschoolers and kiddos a bit too young for school. All of these activities are great for socialization and meeting new friends for both your children and you! There is no charge for any of the activities but registration is recommended for some and required for others. Register at the Parks and Recreation Website.

 

Y.E.A.P. (Youth Enrichment at Parks) ~ Mondays, 1-3pm

Y.E.A.P. is held weekly at rotating parks. Each week there will be an activity to include games, crafts, experiments, or sports followed by free time to play and hang out. Each month will be a different activity. Though geared to homeschoolers due to the time of day, all children are welcome. Great activity for days school is off. Check out our events calendar for locations. Registration is not required to attend but is requested to guarantee spot for craft activities. 


Preschool Playdates ~ Tuesdays, 10am-12pm

Preschool Playdates is geared to ages 2-5 not yet in school. This program also rotates weekly through 4 different parks. The activity will change monthly so that families can attend the park closest to them. Each session will include a story time and a craft or activity to encourage early learning, followed by free time for children to play and make friends. Registration required to guarantee spot for craft activities but not to come play and listen to story. Check out events calendar for locations.

Nature Enrichment ~ Wednesdays, 10am-12pm

Held weekly but for a different age group each week. Nature Enrichment explorers a different nature topic each month. Great addition to homeschool curriculum while making new friends. Check our events calendar for schedule, locations and topics.
